Pending Approval: Notes & Arguments to Self

People who work in colleges either have:

Extremely inflated egos that put them out of touch with reality

or

horrible attitudes and are defensive in the extreme.

This generalization comes from observation and working in a college for a little more than 2 years now.

Hierarchy is clearly defined here. And it’s almost inhumane how people treat each other. Maybe that’s an exaggeration…but it’s pretty disgusting how there is obvious favor for one group over another. And then the other group overcompensates by being paranoid, which gives the first group more justification that the latter is a less evolved class of creature.

I know this is true in other places, but I’ve NEVER seen it so defined as I’ve seen it here. And I’ve just been told that this is nothing in comparison to how people are in actual Universities.

I get the impression that no one actually cares about the students. They are just numbers they can manipulate to serve their own ends. FTEs.

{February 7, 2008}   Isagenix: Beginning of Day 9

I only drank half the amount of shake this morning because I was overly concerned about waking my neighbors by blending so early in the morning. Sometimes I think they do retaliatory banging/noisemaking/lovemaking because I blend so early in the morning. Maybe I’m paranoid…who knows. I thought a smaller amount would be easier to mix by hand. It came out powdery. And I didn’t have time to make the other half. I guess I’ll blend…I’m sure they’ll complain if I’m really bothersome.

I’m equipped with my lunch, which I’ll upload pics of soon. Yeah…
